Brandon Barchet
Founder, 314 Bookkeeping

Meet Brandon

I started 314 Bookkeeping to provide the kind of bookkeeping support many small businesses actually need: practical, detail-oriented help that brings order to the books and makes the financial side of the business easier to manage.

My background is in hands-on accounting work across reconciliations, month-end close, financial cleanup, reporting, and process improvement. Over the years, I have worked through messy account balances, disorganized records, broken processes, and reporting issues that make it harder for businesses to understand where they really stand.

"Good bookkeeping should do more than keep the software updated. It should create structure, reduce uncertainty, and give business owners more confidence in the numbers behind the business."

That experience shaped the way I approach this work. The focus is not on overcomplicating things — it is on creating cleaner books and better information so the financial side of the business feels more manageable.

A Practical Approach to Bookkeeping

314 Bookkeeping is built around the idea that bookkeeping should be accurate, organized, and useful. That means focusing on real problems — not working around them.

01

Clean Up Issues

Problems get addressed directly rather than worked around. Messy records create uncertainty, and uncertainty creates risk. The work is designed to eliminate both.

02

Reconcile Carefully

Reconciliations are one of the most important parts of clean bookkeeping. Every key account gets tied out properly so the numbers are supported and trustworthy.

03

Keep Records Current

Consistent, timely bookkeeping prevents the kind of backlog that makes cleanup expensive and stressful. Staying current is always easier than catching up.

04

Build Useful Reporting

Standard software reports are not always enough. The goal is reporting that is easy to understand and actually useful for day-to-day management.
